Journal 17/8/2010

It's nearly the end of the term and right now I received a lot of projects to finish right on time if I wanted to have a good result for my parent. Then I heard that when I write the journal I have to have the screenshot of what I have done so it made me go crazy about this.

THE PIZZA PROJECT
So first of all I had to finish the big project " The pizza store". It was the most difficult thing for me because this time I had to work with code and command if I want to make the flash file work properly. It looked easy at the beginning but then I realized I was wrong. One small mistake and the whole sequence went down. That why my project got messed up. I couldn't finish it for 2 days because I had no idea why it didn't work. So I had to ask for help twice, then I found out where the code went wrong and I was sick of it because the mistake looked useless but the cause too big. But I managed to finish it and I got a good complete flash file of the Pizza project.

Then I have to put everything I have done together. So I took a look from the beginning. All I have done are a flash short film, a motion tween , shape tween and maks technique. I took the screenshot and placed it together in a file document . I will save it then go home and upload it to this blog. Until then let's take a look around again for what I have done:

LOVE STORY
My first Flash file and the longest one I've ever did. It's a story about a couple which was divided in two parts of a cliff. So the boy tried to confess his love to her through the air. But because the space between them was too big so the boy tried to reach to her and the tragic began. It's a comedy short cartoon. It's not really hard to make and I put my efford to it so I'm happy with it.

SHAPE TWEEN
It was one the new trick I have learned. Changing an old shape to a new shape through transform animation. it was cool and easy. Just draw two shape then put one at the beginning and one at the end of the motion line then change the setting and I will have an animation of shape transform. It was so unbelievable. Save time but the result got more than what I have expected so I love it.

MOTION TWEEN
Same as the shape tween , but this time , just one object, no transform, just move it's destination then action the film it will move right away on the path we draw without any mistake. I love it. So simple but smart, I could even make a maze and move nothing but then the movie show me how the object move through the maze. So good.

MASK
Most simple task. An object, cover it then open it, a short action then take into the timeline and change it's properties, and we got a film how that object was opened.

The project

I've got a project so far on FLASH. it's kind of hard because I am still kind of new to FLASH but at least I had the tutorial so I followed it. But it was hard too.

We had to used up all the skill we had learned so far to do it. From motion tween to shape tween. Then we studied the new skill "button" to make somekifd of new website or flash program. Just like somekind of advertisement for a pizza store. But before we did that we had to finish some new skill for FLASH. But all of us in the class got stuck because we got the wrong version of FLASH. We got the big trouble but at least after 2 days we solved  it but still hard to do it. The code was so hard.

After that we had to concentrate for the pizza project. It was so hard and too long for us. The code stuff and the letters. It had to be perfect match or else all the file will be crushed down. So I spent all my time to concentrate for it. Focused a lot made me felt dizzy but still I could handle it. This time , there wasn't any mistake for the code and the sequence.

After two periods. I saved the work and wait until today to keep going on it.

The beginning

It's been a week when I got the  command to make a blog about what I have studied so far in the IT class. But because of some unexpected things happened so the journal was delayed until today. I missed a class on last Friday because of the excursion. So all I could do now is to write about that I have done so far from the beginning of term 3.


Beginning:

Al; we did at the beginning is to do a research. That wasn't hard I think , it's about some basic of networking and programming. Some I knew already, some I needed to go on google and search for it. It was kind of long but I managed to do it and finished on time.

 The next is about FLASH. I did it two years ago then I stopped so I lost all the basic experience. So all I could do was just following the class and tried to learn from the beginning again. We've had some project of each week and all we need to do was just following the project. It could be answering or researching some question abotu flash or history of flash. Or we could watch some videos about flash's tutorial and folllowed it.


Up until now:
I could said I've had some basics. I could do some simple motion tween or blocks tween or simple animation. I remaked my animation that was lost and I satisfied with it, even better than the old one.
